Who Can Apply

Frontline Heroes Outdoors opportunities are open to:

• Military members serving on active duty, in the National Guard, or in the Reserves, as well as military retirees.
• Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.
• First responders, including firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, police officers, and other law enforcement officers.
• Gold Star families.
• Eligible immediate family members of individuals in the categories above.

Family Eligibility

Across all categories, only immediate family members qualify: current spouses, parents, siblings, and dependent children under age 18, including sons, daughters, stepsons, and stepdaughters.

Children age 18 or older must qualify independently or through another eligible category, including Gold Star family status. Minor dependent children remain eligible if their qualifying parent has passed away.

Former spouses and extended family members, such as in-laws, cousins, aunts, and uncles, are not eligible solely through their family relationship.

A parent or legal guardian may accompany an eligible minor when permitted by the event and approved by FHO. Accompanying a minor does not establish the adult’s independent eligibility, and both participants must be included in the approved headcount.

Eligibility does not guarantee selection. Individual events may have additional age, participation, or guest restrictions.
